‘Save the Constitution’

A major controversy had broken out last week when a team of the CBI officers went to Kumar’s residence to question him. The CBI officials, on the other hand, faced stiff resistance from the Kolkata police. Following this, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee staged a three-day protest to “save the Constitution”.

Himanta & Didi’s war of words

West Bengal Chief Minister Banerjee trained guns on Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over his alleged involvement in the ponzi scam. She said that she has enough evidence against “Assam deputy chief minister”.

Banerjee had accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah of “safeguarding” Sarma.” I dare Modi and Shah to have him arrested. He was investigated in the scam while he was in Congress. But after Sarma joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, he has gone scot-free. PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have unleashed a reign of terror against Bengal since I organised the united India rally of opposition parties,” Mamata said on February 3rd, 2019.

On the other hand, Sarma said that he is pained by the “baseless campaign” run by Mamata didi. He also mentioned that he is “not fortunate enough” like her police commissioner Rajeev Kumar. “I’ve joined the investigations and offered my full cooperation as a witness. And all this happened much much before I joined the Bharatiya Janata Party,” he tweeted.
