The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) miffed over the issuance of fake High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or Class 10 mark sheets in Goalpara and Biswanath Chariali has lodged FIRs in connection to both the cases.

Both the incidents came to light when the SEBA officials located the particulars of the students through their online system.

SEBA Controller of Examination, Nayan Jyoti Sarma said, “There has been a racket going on to produce fake mark sheets for admission in colleges. The parents of the students have been contacted who procured these fake mark sheets and further investigation is going on.”

“We have also asked our officials in other districts to keep a hawk-eye on such cases. We need to bust this entire racket going on to produce fake mark sheets,” Sarma added.

It may be mentioned that for producing the fake mark sheets 180 GSM papers are being used.
