Section 144 clamped in Cachar district in view of COVID-19 situation

Guwahati: In view of the current pandemic situation Deputy Commissioner Cachar has clamped Section 144 CrPC through out the district .

Issuing an order to this effect on Thursday Deputy Commissioner Cachar Keerthi jalli stated that prohibition and complete ban is imposed upon any sort of gathering in public places or elsewhere throughout the district of Cachar for containment of the spread and transmission of COVID-19 infection.

The order comes in to force with immediate effect and will remain in force until further order throughout the district of Cachar.

It’s pertinent to mention here that Assam State Disaster management authority has also issued directive on Tuesday  for containment of COVID-19 in both rural and urban areas across the state until further order.
