    Security Guard Arrested For Stealing Gold Jewellery From Dead Patient In Jorhat

    The Jorhat police on February 21st, 2020 arrested a security guard on charges of stealing gold jewellery from a dead patient.

    The incident is reported from Jorhat Mission Hospital triggering outrage among the locals.

    The ailing woman identified as Dulumoni Bora, a resident of Baghchung area of the town was admitted in the hospital yesterday evening in a critical condition. The doctors on duty declared her dead later in the night and subsequently informed the family members.

    When her family members came to take her body they found her earrings missing.

    “We were informed that the patient is no more and came to take her body. We noticed that her earrings were missing and informed the hospital authorities. They checked the CCTV cameras and it was evident that the guard was caught stealing the earrings” said a relative.

    The police retrived the footage of the CCTV cameras and arrested the accused guard identified as David.

    As per reports, the security personnel was brought from a private firm named Trishul Security Agency.
