Semi-naked body of missing teen girl recovered in Bokajan after one week
Guwahati: In a major development to the sensational murder incident in Bokajan’s Chowkihowla Lakhiram village, Karbi Anglong police on Friday recovered the semi-naked body of another missing teenage girl from a deep jungle alongside Doigrung River after one week.
As per a police report, two teenage girls of the Lakhiram village went to Doigrung River for fishing last Saturday morning at around 9 am and didn’t return back home.
Following the incident, the local villagers filed a missing report at the Bokajan Police station.
Based on the complaint, the police carried out an investigation in presence of a magistrate last Sunday and recovered the body of the teenage girl under mysterious conditions; however, the whereabouts of the other teenage girl couldn’t be traced by the police since then.
The police personnel, members of the Karbi Students’ Union including local villagers kept their search operation on and finally recovered the body on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the body of the second teenage girl has been sent for post mortem.
It is noteworthy to mention that there are several injury marks on her body.
Prima facie, it appeared that the second teenage girl has also been murdered by miscreants.
However, no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
