Guwahati: Senior leader Anil Raja has resigned from Congress blaming Assam Pradesh Congress Committee for allegedly creating groupism and using monopolies to run their ’Syndicate’ in the state.
He also alleged that Assam Congress is losing its prestige, faithfulness and acceptability under present leadership.
“For their self interest, they are damaging Congress. Few of them creating groupism which I couldn’t bear,” Anil Raja said in his resignation letter on Monday.
Meanwhile, Raja has tendered his resignation to All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Sonia Gandhi.
Notably, Raja has resigned from the membership of the AICC and primary membership of the Indian National Congress.
