Jorhat, November 8: Uproar in the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) after 15 infants died from November 1-6.
Following the deaths, a six-member high-level enquiry team has been formed by the JMCH authorities. On November 6, a total of six infants died at the hospital.
The reason behind the deaths is yet to be ascertained.
The hospital authorities have informed that the bed capacity for infants in the hospital is 41.
“But presently, we have 80 infants in the hospital,” said a hospital authority.
The family members of the infants blamed the doctors and demanded strict action against the hospital authorities.
