Shocking! Bongaigaon MLA Phani Bhushan Choudhury’s car stolen from Assam Assembly
Guwahati: In an amusing incident, the Toyota Innova used by Bongaigaon MLA Phani Bhushan Choudhury, has been stolen from the Assam Legislative Assembly in Dispur on Friday evening.
The car was stolen from the premises of the Assembly amidst the tight security cover.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the Dispur police station.
The police also apprehended Dharej Ali, Ariful Ali and Safikul Ahmed in connection to the incident.
Later, based on the police investigation, it came to light that the driver of MLA Phani Bhushan Choudhury identified as Naba Ali was found to be the mastermind and main accused in the car theft case.
Police sources informed that the driver has been absconding.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in Numuligarh following a road accident in the Golaghat district.
Reportedly, one person died in the road accident incident.
Driver Naba Ali is presently reported absconding.
