SI Recruitment Scam: Kumar Sanjit Krishna’s Bail Plea Rejected

Assam Police SI recruitment scam mastermind Kumar Sanjit Krishna was sent him to six days of judicial custody

GUWAHATI: The CJM court here rejected the bail plea of Assam Police SI recruitment scam mastermind Kumar Sanjit Krishna and sent him to six days of judicial custody on Wednesday.

He was sent to Guwahati central jail. He will be produced in court again on October 27.

Krishna who was the former SP of Karimganj allegedly leaked the question papers of the exam two days before the schedule selection. After remaining untraced, he later surrendered at the Assam Police headquarters.

All three have been forwarded to judicial custody on completion of five days, eleven days and seven days of police remand respectively.

Krishna’s side said that they would move the high court shortly.

On the other hand, another accused Joydeep Baruah has also been sent to six-days of judicial custody while Suraj Sarma has been given 1-day judicial custody by the court.

All three accused have been sent to different jails. While Suraj Sarma will be produced in a local court in Goalpara, Joydeep Baruah was sent to Marigaon jail.

Advocates said that the reason for sending them into separate jails was ‘classified’ and taken considering the security situation in concern.
