Sikkim: SPYF stages protest demanding basic public rights

Guwahati: Sikkim Progressive Youth Front staged a protest on Thursday demanding basic rights on behalf of the public.

They demanded removal of the illogical and unscientific restrictions on public transport which is making public pay double the fare. They also demanded to run more SNT buses and allow pillion rider in 2 wheelers.

These are the demands for which members of Sikkim Progressive Youth Front (SPYF) have been sitting outside the Secretariat since Thursday and spent the night there to demand these basic rights.

They also stated that considering all other protocols are being disregarded by the administration and political meetings and huge gatherings are being organized without following any safety protocols.
