Sikkim: Two armymen killed in road accident

Guwahati: Two personnel of the Indian Army were killed in an accident at Zuluk in East Sikkim on Friday.

According to sources, jawans were travelling to Nathu La border, when their car met with an accident.

The deceased have been identified as Lance Naik Manoj Chettri from Karongthang in Yangang town and Subedar Som Bahadur Subba, resident of Mirik. Both were serving in the Sikkim Scouts at Kupup.

Prem Singh Tamang, the chief minister of Sikkim, expressed his condolences to the Sikkim Scouts personnel, who lost their lives on duty.

“I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families and offer a prayer for the deceased’s soul to rest in eternal peace,” said Tamang
