A new Bodo film Sinaithi-The Identity is going to hit the theatres across Assam on September 15th, 2019. The film has been made under the banner of Dark Horse Media of Barama in Assam’s Baksa district.
The story revolves around Rifi, the protagonist who is in search of the malefactors who strikes his father while returning home from work. The film, directed by Phung Bily has been shot in different picturesque locations of Assam and neighbouring state, Meghalaya.

The story revolves around the “three revolutionary friends” Swmkhwr, Phakhon and Rwdwm during the signing of the historic Bodoland Autonomous Council (BAC) Accord, Bily told Time8. It may be recalled that the Assam Government entered into a bipartite Bodo accord with All Bodo Students’ Union to form a BAC in 1993.
On being asked about facing challenges in making a film in Bodoland Territorial Area Districts, Bily said, “There are not enough cinema halls in the BTAD. To my knowledge, there are only four proper movie theatres in BTAD. The revenue generated is wasted in setting up the temporary mobile theatres.”
“The producers, Ansuma and Daniel, were generous enough to make a Bodo movie overlooking the present market situation,” the Bodo filmmaker further added.
The cast includes Fuji, Ron, Lipika, Thaklai, Mendela, Kamleswar, Ringkumoni, Ringkhang, Pradip, Minu, Junima, Rughuni, Nicodim, Jouyen, Bhagyashree and others. The crew members are Zeetumani, Mwgthang, Sanjib, Dinesh, Jagad, Ansuma, Daniel, Jenny, Demy, Phung Bily.

“It was a memorable experience working with Dark Horse Media. Hope everybody will help and support us by watching the movie,” said Fuji, the female lead actor.
Ron, the male lead of the film said, “This was the first time I worked with Dark Horse Media. It was a whole new and quite a good experience. All the actors are extremely talented. Actually, I have learnt so much during the whole process.”
