Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday took part in the Yoga Utsav hosted as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and 50 Days to International Day of Yoga on the premises of historic Sivadol in Sivasagar.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Ayush in association with Assam Government.
Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union MoS AYUSH Dr Mahendra Munjpara, Union MoS Petroleum Rameswar Teli and State cabinet ministers Keshab Mahanta, Ranoj Pegu, Jogen Mohan and Bimal Borah were present.
Also, Health Minister of Sikkim Dr Mani Kumar Sarma, Health Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Alo Libang, MPs Topon Kumar Gogoi and S Phangnon Konyak, MLAs Prashanta Phukan, Chakradhar Gogoi, Taranga Gogoi, Sushanta Borgohain and Dharmeswar Konwar also took part.
