Snap All Ties With Pakistan: MP Bijoya Chakravarty To Centre

Guwahati, February 16, 2019

Guwahati MP Bijoya Chakravarty on February 16th, 2019 demanded that India should snap all diplomatic and cultural ties and trade relations with Pakistan following the brutal Pulwama terror attack.

The attack on a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district that killed more than 40 jawans on February 14th, 2019 is the biggest terror attack in the past five years. The Jaish suicide bomber, identified as Adil Ahmad Dar, rammed an SUV laden with over 250 kg of explosives into the CRPF bus carrying about 40 personnel.

“The Indian government should snap all ties with Pakistan. A single drop of water from the Indian rivers should not reach the country,” said Chakravarty.

One CRPF jawan from Assam identified as Maneshwar Basumatary has attained martyrdom. “I suspect it’s (terror attack) a handiwork of China. Along with Pakistan, all Chinese products should be banned in the country,” the MP added.

On February 16th, 2019, the mortal remains of martyr Basumatary reached the LGBI airport Guwahati.
