Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a son allegedly injected his father with drugs and robbed over Rs 3 lakhs in Guwahati’s Noonmati area on Sunday.
The incident took place at Bapuji Nagar in the area.
However, the incident came to light when the father allegedly committed suicide after learning about the occurrence. The deceased has been identified as Bul Das.
As per sources, the son, identified as Rahul Das, allegedly injected his father with some narcotic substance that knocked him out. Later he robbed around Rs 3.5 lakhs that had been kept aside for the father’s treatment.
The sources stated that the son is a drug addict. Meanwhile, the son along with his wife is now absconding.
Further investigation is underway.
