Sonari tea garden manager kidnapped by suspected ULFA-I released

Sonari, January 11: Kidnapped Timon Habi Tea Estate manager Numal Chandra Baruah has reportedly been released by the suspected United Liberation Front of Asom, Independent, ULFA-I in Nagaland.

He was released near Longwa village in Mon district.

Baruah is currently under the Assam Rifles custody in Nagaland.

As per the instructions of the Charaideo district administration, a joint team of Assam police along with troops of the Indian Army has left for Nagaland

It may be mentioned that Baruah was missing since November 21 from his residence in Sonari.

An FIR was filed at the Borhat Police Station by Baruah’s family.
