Guwahati: In a horrifying incident, a man allegedly beheaded a 55-year-old man and arrived at the police station with his severed head in a bag on Tuesday.

The incident was reported at Doyalpur in Rangapara under the Sonitpur district.

According to reports, one Tuliram Madri allegedly beheaded a 55-year-old man identified as Boilor Hemram and walked inside the police station with his severed head in a bag.

The cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained till the filing of the report.

Speaking to the media, a police official said, “At around 1.30 pm, a man named Tuliram Madri from Doyalpur walked into the police station with a severed head of a middle-aged man. We have recovered the body from the crime spot and have started an investigation in connection to the case. The motive behind the incident is yet not be ascertained. The accused is being interrogated.”
