Morigaon, January 14: Assam’s Srimanta Shankardev Sangha on Monday slammed the Assam government for not releasing the financial assistance to organize the 44th annual session.
The session will start from February 6 in Morigaon.
“The Assam government had assured us of financial assistance. But, it has not been released yet,” a committee member said.
Moreover, the Sangha has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to attend its forthcoming Morigaon session. Modi was invited to attend the session as a special invitee.
