Sub-Lieutenant Shivangi Scripts History, Becomes 1st Woman Pilot For Indian Navy

Sub-lieutenant Shivangi created history when she joined the Naval operations in Kochi on December 2nd, 2019 after completion of operational training. She became the first woman pilot of Indian Navy.

Hailing from Muzzafarpur, Bihar and with a dream to touch the sky, Shivangi worked on her dream from a young age. She completed her schooling from DAV Public school and was commissioned into the Indian Navy last year after her initial training.

She will be flying the Dornier surveillance aircraft of the Indian Navy. “It’s a great feeling. I am looking forward to completing my 3rd stage of training,” Sub-lieutenant Shivangi told media persons.
