Summer Fashion trends that made a comeback in 2 years

What goes around always comes back around eventually. We see this happening practically everywhere we look – popular movies and TV show from the 80s and 90s, are getting rebooted left and right.

One of the most interesting and refreshing aspects of fashion is that a trend in fashion always makes a comeback. It may be even spiced up or accessorized to incorporate the modern chic outlook but however, the roots remain the same. Here are some summer fashion trends that were too good to be put to rest and are making a comeback today.

From Prada to Stella McCartney, prepare yourselves for the tie-dye renaissance

Tie-dye has emerged as the biggest fashion trend so far. From R13’s flashy blazers and hoodies, Pradas’s to 60s-style shift dresses and pencil skirts, tie-dye made a bold comeback on Spring/Summer Show of the 2019 and 2020 catwalks. Tie-dye’s unique fashion relationship with uniqueness and insurgent sets itself apart from everything else.

    Neo-Boho trend

The boho hype has never really gone away, but with SS19 we’ve seen a real neoboho revival on the catwalks.

For a relaxed streetwear look, neo-bohemian trend gives all the room to experiment with silhouettes and textiles. The designers of Spring/Summer Show of 2019 took an escapist turn by pulling out the Neo-Boho trend which is still in fashion. Dessert hues, warm sunset colors, languid and sensual look and pairing it with the amulet, anklet accessories to create an eternal yet sultry Coachella look.

    Cargo Pants

Breathe a dose of casual refinement into your daily fashion mix with cargo pants.

Now here is a trend that was sure to make a comeback and it’s not the first time either.  Not the cargo pants or shorts we’re all embarrassed to have worn in the 90’s – no, these new and improved cargo pants are much more form footing and edgy! During the 90’s it had its first revival and now, firstly at Sies Marjan, Valentino and Prada and now Fendi, Prabal Gurung and Monse. So, dig out those old cargo pants from your wardrobes and blend in today’s fashion.

    Fanny Bags

Never thought you’d see the day when fanny packs are back? But here it is…

Surprising it may sound, these another ‘80s and 90s’ style are making a daring comeback on the runways and everyone has changed their minds about them. These bags are also becoming more and more gender neutral with various daring pieces like transparent and neon ones. So, sling this successful fashion experiment either on the shoulder or wear it around the waist to give the retro yet sleek look.

The main trend of Spring/Summer 2019 as well as 2020, Neon shades, tops the list. The bright and eye-popping neon colors are sure to make you stand out and set you apart from the rest. They are too bold to wear every day, too bright to pass unnoticed. In present days, neon in all its diversity again became one of the top fashion trends.

    Fancy Flats

Chic, classic style can be comfortable, fun, and happen even in flats!

Gone are the days of pointy stilettos and 6-inches heels stomping across the street and runways alike. Who needs heels when you can be comfortable instead? There are so many trendy, stylish options that work for party and formal attire. Last year’s fashion shows showcased models of Valentino, Simone Rocha, Burberry etc striding in the ramps with flamboyant and attractive flats. So shop through them and treat your feet to something new.

    Mom Jeans

Mom jeans are a classic piece of clothing from the decade that looks fantastic with retro styling. an oversized printed T-shirt or a chunky turtleneck, there’s something to choose for every season. Acid wash denim is a great option from this era, and they look lovely with a pair of kitten heels and a sweater.

You know the type – the high waist and the loose fitting leg that tapers just enough at the ankle, where it’s usually rolled up and topped off with a sandal or some other delicate footwear. Mom jeans have made the biggest comeback and are now available in wide range of incredible colors.
