Guwahati: A suspected Kamtapur Liberation organized (KLO) militant has been arrested by the North Bengal Special Task Force of police in Siliguri on Friday morning.
The accused identified as Avinash Roy was arrested from Khalpar area of the city. He is a resident of Srirampur area of Kokrajhar district of Assam.
Reportedly, Roy was living in Siliguri as a laborer for the last six months. Police has initiated operation to nab other members of the banned militant group operating from Siliguri.
The accused has been produced at court and is sent to 14 days in judicial custody.
