Man electrocuted to death by powerlines in Assam’s Jorhat

The deceased has been identified as Bhaskar Bora who hailed from Bhogamukh area and is survived by his mother and his newly wedded-wife.

The man has been identified as Nripen Kalita who hailed from Borongba village near Pathsala, was killed on spot.

The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Gogoi who hailed from Lakhimpur.

The incident occurred when a herd of wild elephant came from the forest at around 4 am and entered a village destroying several houses.

Meanwhile, the driver of the bus escaped from the site. Police seized the bus and took it to the Nagrijuli police station.

The victim was rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition. Later on Sunday, Usman Goni succumbed to his injuries.
