Sangma told the state assembly that the regional committees have been reconstituted for the purpose.
Sangma’s statement comes weeks after Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in the assembly that Mukroh is a part of his state.
The new government, which will be called the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance 2.0, has one woman minister in M Ampareen Lyngdoh.
The counting of votes for both states will be held on 2 March.Â
