A bench of justices V Ramasubramanian and Pankaj Mithal issued a notice to National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Gogoi’s plea.
Earlier the NIA court on June 22 and July 1 last year cleared Gogoi of all the sedition charges in the two cases against him under the UAPA, 1967 for his alleged role in violent protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act in Assam.
The accused have been identified as Md. Shahnowaj Alom and Omar Faruque, duo residents of Assam.
The arrested man was identified as Samrat Chakraborty alias Amit alias Argha from West Bengal’s Mahispata.
