Based on specific information, a Mizoram-bound vehicle was intercepted by district police at the Bagador area in Silchar.
However, it is estimated that the value of the drugs is over Rs 60 crore in the international market.
The Yaba tablets were seized by the Border Security Force (BSF).
The market value of the seized contraband drugs is estimated at around Rs 60-70 crore, official stated.
20,000 YABA tablets was also seized on the same day
The city police also seized on Tata Nexon car bearing registration number MN 01AK 7218 during the operation
The police have also arrested two persons from neighbouring states in connection with the seizure.
BSF personnel and state policemen apprehended the person on Sunday and recovered 982 Yaba tablets from his possession.
