Guwahati: In a bid to revive the education sector heavily impacted by COVID-19 and contribute towards overall development of students, Assam Government will celebrate Gunotsav, 2022 across the state from May 11 to June 4, 2022.
Under the initiative of the Department of Education, Assam and Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission, this year Gunotsav will be held in three phases.
State education minister Ranoj Pegu on Monday informed that the Gunotsav will be conducted in all 33 districts of the state.
The first phase will begin on May 11 and will conclude by May 14 covering 10 districts of Assam.
The second phase will begin on May 23 and will conclude by May 26 covering 12 districts of Assam.
Similarly, the third and last phase will begin on June 1 and will conclude by June 4 covering 11 districts of Assam.
All government/provincialised/ tea garden management schools of elementary and secondary levels will be covered.
42,50,224 students of 46,000 schools will participate in the programme.
Evaluation will be conducted for class I to IX level.
18,752 external evaluators will be deployed across the state.
Evaluation will be done on scholastic [both skill (Reading, Writing & Numeracy/Basic Mathematical Operations) & subject areas], co-scholastic, community participation and infrastructure.
Evaluation will be OMR based.
