    Traffic Advisory Issued In Guwahati Ahead Of Durga Puja. Check Details

    The entry of vehicles will not be allowed coming from Zoo Road to Ganesh Mandir

    In view of Durga Puja in the city, the Guwahati Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory to ensure the safety of the public.

    Good carrying vehicle shall not be allowed to enter the city from 1 pm to 4 am from Jalukbari, Gorchuk, Lokhra, Beltola, Hatigaon and Chandmari side. The movements of the city buses have also been diverted in a few of the routes.

    The entry of vehicles will not be allowed coming from Zoo Road to Ganesh Mandir and vehicles moving from via Service Road, GS Road and Supermarket Point.

    The Guwahati Traffic Police mentioned that roadside parking of vehicles shall be prohibited on the MG Road, B Barooah Road, GNB Road, Tayabullah Raod and the GS Road from Lachit Nagar Point to Janata Hotel Point.

    The Durga Puja Committees have also been instructed to provide volunteers for traffic management. The new rules will remain in effect from October 5th, 2019 to 8th, 2019.
