Tragic! Two dead, one injured in Lakhimpur road accident
Guwahati: In a tragic incident, two youths died while another sustained injuries after a two-wheeler vehicle crashed into the night-super bus counter near National Highway 15 in Lakhimpur’s Naranyanpur Tiniali area on Sunday.
As per reports, Manjil Bora of Torajuli Shantipur village in Bandardewa died on the spot, whereas, the other two youths identified as Arupjyoti Chekanidhara and Nayanjyoti Duwara received severe injuries on their bodies during the road accident.
Both the injured youths were shifted to a nearby hospital; however, looking into the health condition of Arupjyoti Chekanidhara, he was later shifted to Lakhimpur Hospital under critical condition. Thereafter, he was referred to Sanjivini Hospital in Dibrugarh due to deteriorating health conditions, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday night.
Police sources informed that Manjil Bora along with his friends Arupjyoti Chekanidhara and Nayanjyoti Duwara were heading towards Naranyanpur from Bandardewa side on the NH 15 when he lost control over the vehicle (AS 07R 5216) and crashed into the bus counter.
