“Treat everyone uniformly and never indulge in abuse of power”: CM advises new police appointees
Guwahati: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday advised all-new police appointees to keep in mind that the law is same for all citizens, whether rich or poor, thus, treat everyone uniformly and never indulge in abuse of power.
“This can totally transform the public perception about the police,” said CM Sarma during the ceremonial distribution of appointment letters to 22,958 new recruits in 11 departments of state government at Khanapara field here.

On May 12, 2022, the State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam (SLPRB Assam) declared the Assam police constable final result 2022.
The declaration of SLPRB Assam constable’s final result 2022 was released for 6662 constables (AB & UB) posts in the Assam police.
CM Sarma also mentioned that the Assam government will soon start the process of recruiting for around 33,000 government jobs by July end.
Earlier, Sarma during the election campaigning ahead of 2021 state polls promised of providing one lakh government jobs within a year of his tenure. However, with Saturday’s appointment, around 28,000 recruitments were done so far.
