Tripura cabinet decides to promote students of classes 1 to 4, 6 and 7
Agartala: Tripura government on Tuesday decided to promote all students of Classes 1 to 4, 6 and 7 to next classes taking a stock of stiff rise in COVID cases .
Speaking with reporters here at Civil Secretariat on Tuesday evening, Cabinet spokesperson and Education minister Ratanlal Nath said the council of ministers on Tuesday decided that the students studying in classes 1 to 4, 6 and 7 will be promoted to next class in this academic session.
“However, all students have to appear for an evaluation test as soon as school reopens after second wave of COVID pandemic declines”, said Nath.
Education minister also said “The government took this decision of holding evaluation test in order to assess the educational loss incurred by the students and school education department”.
He further added, the examination of classes 5 and 8 will be conducted soon after school reopens while the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) will decide about the students of class 9 and 11 and approve after cabinet decision.
