Tripura: CPI-M accuses BJP of vandalism ahead of urban local bodies’ poll

Agartala, December 2: The Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPI-M) accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura of vandalism in various parts of the state to impede the former in filing nomination for by-poll of urban local bodies.

The by-poll for 158 seats is slated to be held on December 22 this year.

The CPI-M leaders alleged that the BJP activists had created panic in several parts of the state in last 24 hours.

According to information, as many as 10 untoward incidents occurred in the state where CPI-M poll candidates were also attacked.

However, the ruling saffron party denied the party activists’ involvement in such untoward.
