    Tripura police constable’s SLR rifle stolen

    There was no report over any arrest till filling of this report nor any trace of the missing SLR has been detected

    Agartala: In a major embarrassment for Tripura Police, a SLR rifle was allegedly stolen while under the possession of Tripura police constable on the intervening nights of Monday and Tuesday at Ampi market under Gomati district, which is about 67 KMs away from Agartala city.

    It was reported that a constable named Subriel Uchui of Chechua outpost under Ampi Nagar police station in Gomati district of Tripura has lost his SLR rifle when he was on duty last night.

    As per the report, Uchui was on duty last night in Chechua passenger’s shed adjacent to his outpost. In the middle of the night he allegedly dozed off. Later on when he woke up and found his SLR was​missing. He searched everywhere but could not find out his service SLR rifle.

    Later on he has verbally informed all details regarding the SLR missing issue to the concerned police station authority. The police station staffs are investigating the incidence.

    There was no report over any arrest till filling of this report nor any trace of the missing SLR has been detected.
