Truck loaded with pigs crashes at Assam’s Burhapahar
Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a truck loaded with pigs crashed in Burhapahar area of Assam on Sunday.
The truck was carrying around 242 pigs from Punjab to Dimapur in Nagaland.
The incident occured when the truck driver lost control over the vehicle and fell off road.
Many pigs were killed during the accident and several others were left grievously injured.
Some of the pigs which did not sustain any injuries ran off to the forest area of the Kaziranga National Park.
Following the incident, the road was blocked for over 2 hours.
