    Tuition Teacher Arrested On Charges Of Sexually Harassing Minor Student In Guwahati

    The accused tuition teacher was sent to judicial custody on October 18th, 2019

    The Panbazar police have arrested a teacher named Dhruba Narayan Sinha(56) on charges of molesting and sexually harassing a 12-year-old minor girl in Guwahati city.

    As per reports, the accused had been harassing the minor girl for about a year during her tutorial classes. The incident came to light after the victim divulged the terrible experience in front of her parents and thereafter a case was subsequently registered with the police.

    The complaint was lodged at the All Women Police Station at Panbazar. Based on the complaint the police started an investigation and arrested the accused vide case no 146/19 under section 354(a) r/w sec 6 POCSO Act.

    “The child was mentally disturbed as she couldn’t share it teh awful experience with anybody. The teacher was an elderly person and even her father was his pupil. Unable to take the harassment any further she told her parents and thereafter a police complaint was lodged,” said a local.

    The accused tuition teacher was sent to judicial custody on October 18th, 2019.
