    Two Child Labourers Rescued In Hailakandi

    Guwahati: In a special drive carried out on July 18th, 2019, two minor children were rescued from bonded labour in Assam’s Hailakandi district.

    The child labourers, who were rescued by the District Level Task Force Committee comprising Labour Department, DCPO, CWC, ChildLine and police personnel, were engaged as domestic help.

    The police have registered cases against the offenders for engaging minor children as domestic help. It may be mentioned that eight minor children were rescued from bonded labour in June this year.
