Two men allegedly rape widow and chopped her fingers in Cachar, Assam
Guwahati: A horrific and brutal case of sexual assault has emerged once again in Cachar, Assam.
The crime took place in Punihawai, Dholai and despite the fact that the complaint has been filed two weeks ago, police have yet to apprehend the culprits.
According to the sources, the victim is threatened with death and intimidated by the culprits.
The victim is a widow who lives alone with her infant son.
According to the sources, two men from Bidyaratanpur village, Maniruddin and Riyaz, trespassed into the victim’s home by smashing the wall with a sharp weapon at 4 am on October 25.
Survivor and her son were sleeping when one of the accused kidnapped her son and threatened to kill him.
Meanwhile, one of the others allegedly assaulted her after that tried to murder her with a machete. In the incident, the lady lost four fingers on her left hand, as per sources.
As per victim, the perpetrators are from a wealthy family, they have provided money to the police, so the cops haven’t been able to apprehend even criminals.
According to the sources, the survivor claimed that she spends her evenings begging on the streets and in public places, and that she is living in poverty with her infant son on her lap.
The accused had threatened her regarding police cases and warned her not to return home, she claim. She is afraid that because she lives alone and owns few assets, by violence and intimidation they are looking to occupy her land, she further stated.
