Two workers from Assam die of asphyxiation in Meghalaya coal mine
Guwahati: Two workers from Assam were allegedly killed due to asphyxiation while working in a coal mine in Shallang area of Meghalaya.
The deceased were identified as Ainuddin Ali (28) and Sukur Ali (30), and both of them hailed from Boko area of Assam.
The incident occurred on the intervening night of February 16 and February 17, when the duo was digging in the coal mine where deficiency of oxygen resulted in their death.
