Two young girls beat up alleged fraudster for luring on pretext of jobs in Golaghat

Guwahati: An alleged fraudster was badly beaten in the middle of the road in broad daylight by two young girls in Assam’s Golaghat town on Thursday.

The person identified as Nilotpal Baishya allegedly lured the two girls on the pretext of giving a job at the Bandhan Bank and charged an amount of Rs 2000 from each of them.

Speaking to the media, one of the girls said, “He lured us on the pretext of giving job at Bandhan Bank in Golaghat branch and took a total amount of Rs 4000 from me and my friend. When I demanded the cashback today, he failed in returning back the money, moreover, his bank account also showed nil balance.”

The girls alleged further that he switched off his mobile handset and went untraceable since the day of their appointments.

He was caught red-handed by both girls in the morning hours and was thrashed badly in front of a huge crowd.

The fraudulent man was handed over Golaghat police.
