Guwahati: Amid the Maha Navami celebrations in the city, a scuffle broke out between Latasil Police and the owner of a fast-food restaurant in Guwahati on Thursday night.

As per the police report, the restaurant owner has allegedly flouted the night curfew guidelines issued by the Assam Government.

Sources informed that the owner was running his restaurant beyond the prescribed hours by the state government.

Reportedly, the police personnel asked the owner of the shop to shut down the shop by 10 pm, however, they were confronted by the individual which led to a heated situation in the area.

Three people identified as Utsav Bhuyan, Indrajit Bhuyan and Trishanil Neog were injured during the scuffle.

It has also come to light that both Utsav Bhuyan and Indrajit Bhuyan are the sons of a retired Gauhati High Court judge.

The police version in connection to the case is awaited.

On the other hand, the additional deputy commissioner of police Pallab Tamuli took stock of the situation following the incident.

Update: An enquiry has been ordered by the Commissioner of police in connection to the incident
