Guwahati: After Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, and Abhishek Banerjee were spotted arriving at Arunachal Pradesh for the film shoot of their upcoming horror-comedy flick ‘Bhediya’, the team on Wednesday met the chief minister of the state Pema Khandu.
In a Tweet, Khandu expressed that he was pleased to meet the lead stars Varun and Kriti and the team of the film.
He also share more pictures with the director and said that Amar grew up in Arunachal and his father was a forest ranger at Indian Forest Services (IFS).
Reportedly, the makers have zeroed down some serene locations from the state for the shooting. Ziro, Sagalee and parts of Pakke Kessang district are some of them. The shooting will be completed in a span of two months.
Taking about the film, ‘Bhediya’, will be helmed by director Amar Kaushik it will star Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal in the lead roles. The movies is slated to release in theatres on April 14, 2022.
It is also to be mentioned that about 70% of the artists in the movie are from Arunachal. ‘Bhediya’ will “promote artists from Arunachal Pradesh, as well as the state’s culture and tourism”.
Rapper from the state Kheko will also be a part of the film.
