As per reports, a group of locals spotted a vehicle bearing registration no ML 05B 8983 moving suspiciously from the Rongjeng Reserve. The villagers signalled the vehicle to stop near the PWD office under Rongjeng Police.

The driver escaped from the spot and the irked villagers burnt the car with the timber inside, said a local. Post the incident the residents have urged the district administration to look into the matter and bring a solution to the problem at the earliest.
