Vision Document | Tripura Govt forms ‘Expert Committee’ to implement 7th Pay Commission

Agartala, March 10: As promised in the Vision Document, the new government of Tripura has decided to form an expert committee to implement 7th pay commission for the government employees and pensioners.

On Saturday after the first cabinet meeting of newly formed Tripura Govt Chief Minister Biplab Deb along with his colleague Pranajit Singha Roy and Ratanlal Nath told media that since model code of conduct is in force due to by-elections in Charilam Assembly constituency, the government cannot give much information on the 7th CPC but the new government is very much positive to implement it.

Pranajit Singha Roy also said that the new government is very much positive to give CBI probe into the murder case of two journalists- Santanu Bhowmik and Sudip Dutta Bhowmik but as the decision involves law, the state government at first start a process enabling to recommend CBI probe into both murder cases.

In today’s cabinet, another important decision was taken to rename Agartala Airport after late Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya.

The cabinet also decided to conduct first session of Assembly after forming new government on March 23.

The minister also informed media that Ratan Chakraborty will be the speaker of the house and new MLAs will take oath on March 14 and 15.
