    War on drugs: Nagaon SP Anand Mishra issues tit-for-tat warning to drug cartels

    SP Mishra also mentioned that one of the drug peddlers who attacked the police officer has been identified

    Guwahati: In continuation to the efforts against drugs by the Nagaon police, there are reports surfacing in the media that the drug cartels operating in the district are trying to trap the police forces with their nefarious activities.

    As per reports, a police officer from the anti-drug squad of Nagaon was allegedly caught on camera for having possession of drugs.

    The superintendent of police Anand Mishra, however, nullified it before the media on Thursday.

    Hitting back at the drug mafias in the district, the superintendent of police, Nagaon district, Anand Mishra stated that not a single police officials are not involved in any such activity. a police officer was attacked by some drug cartels and made an attempt to snatch away his service gun, however, he was not carrying the arms at that moment.

    “I am personally monitoring this case; a case was registered by the policeman himself. He is one of the finest police officials we have in our combat team. He is doing very well to stop drug peddling in the district. This is a shameful act and a conspiracy against the Nagaon police to impede our fight against drugs.

     SP Mishra further issued tit-for-tat warning to the drug cartels operating the district.

    The top cop also mentioned that one of the drug peddlers who attacked the police officer has been identified, however, the identities of the other accomplices have not been ascertained, informed the SP Nagaon.
