The prestigious Filmfare Awards is all set to sizzle Guwahati today as Bollywood bigwigs are making their appearance at the LGBI airport since February 14th, 2020.

The star-studded night will witness some of the major performances by the Bollywood celebrities as awards will be handed over to the receivers in respective field for their contributions to Hindi cinema.

Stars like Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar, Karthik Aryan, Sidhant Chaturvedi, Manish Paul have already arrived in the city. Videos of their rehearsal here at the awards venue are also doing rounds in the social media.

Meanwhile, a video of charmer Ranveer Singh and Kartik Aaryan dancing Bihu at the LGBI airport donning Axomiya Gamusa has garnered a lot of attention for all the right reasons.

In the video both the stars are seen joyfully making some brisk steps with hand movements as professional dancers perform the folk dance as a welcome gesture.

Earlier ATDC Chairman Jayanta Malla Baruah said that eight promos have been made with a focus on Awesome Assam for the Filmfare Awards to boost tourism in the state and that all the promos will be screened at the gala event.

The current heartthrob of the tinsel town Vicky and celebrity film director Johar will host the 65th Filmfare Awards.

Altogether 115 artistes from Assam are all set to enthral the crowd showcasing the rich and vibrant cultural heritage of Assam during the special 12-minute slot allotted for them at the upcoming 65th Filmfare Awards in Guwahati.

While 35 dancers will perform the Sattriya dance choreographed by prominent exponents of the classical dance form Jatin Goswami, the Bihu and fusion tribal dance will be performed by 40 artistes each designed by Ranjit Gogoi, acclaimed cultural ambassador of Assam.
