Will Chop Off My Ears If BJP-AGP-BPF Fail To Win 12 Seats: Hagrama Mohilary

Udalguri, April 3, 2019

The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief and the chairperson of the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) Hagrama Mohilary on April 3rd, 2019 claimed that alliance of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), BPF and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) would win 12 out of 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam. “If the alliance fails to win 12 seats then chop off my ears,” Mohilary said.

While launching a scathing attack on the Congress and Mohilary said, “The Congress is a damaged party now.”

Addressing an election rally in Udalguri, Mohilary said, “It is now BJP’s time. Dilip Saikia will win. We have to make him win. Congress is not a factor for us.”

Besides, he said that UPPL has fielded candidates just for namesake. “UPPL has given candidates just for namesake. It is not a factor for us. The BJP-BPF-AGP alliance is very strong and will clinch the ensuing Lok Sabha elections,” Mohilary said.

Besides, Mohilary accused the All Bodoland Students’ Union (ABSU) president Pramod Bodo of betraying the Bodos by earning in the name of the organization. “In the 2021 Assembly Election, there will be a tough battle of BPF with NDFB (Pro) and ABSU. We are ready to give our cent per cent,” Mohilary said.

Mohilary highlighted the welfare schemes of the BJP-led state government and assured the people to work for more development if the alliance is voted to power.
