Agartala, September 14, 2017: National General Secretary of BJP, Ram Madhav alleged that the ruling CPI(M) influenced college council elections after terrorizing campuses to ensure victory of its students front SFI. “This (left front) government is to last for some more months as aggrieved people will throw it out in assembly elections”, he said after visiting GBP Hospital to see injured ABVP supporters.
Ram Madhav said it was expected that colleges will not become centre of party politics, but “CPI(M) had unleashed reign of terror in colleges to thwart opposition voice”.
BJP will not let the CPI(M) go unpunished for its misdeeds, he warned.
“We will ensure that an appropriate environment returns to colleges and democratic values are not disturbed at any cost”, Ram Madhab asserted. He also criticized Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and his government for ‘deplorable condition’ in GBP Hospital where injured ABVP activists were kept on floor in tarpaulin sheets.
