Woman raped inside bus in Madhya Pradesh; 2 arrested
Guwahati: A woman was allegedly raped inside a bus in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday and two people have been arrested while the third accused is absconding.
Reportedly, the woman was travelling from Kukshi to Manavar in a bus on Friday and she was supposed to get down in Longsari. The driver, conductor and the cleaner did not drop her in Longsiri and when the people questioned, they said that she will be dropped at Gandhiwani.
Later, when the bus was empty, the conductor stopped the bus and raped the woman at a secluded place between Gulati Road and Balipur Road. The driver and the cleaner also tried to rape her.
When the girl started shouting, the passers-by went to her and she told her about the alleged rape. People caught the driver, but the conductor and the cleaner fled from the spot.
The victim lodged a complaint against the three persons. The Manawar police registered a case under the sections of gang rape. They also initiated an operation to nab the third accused.
