Agartala, March 11: Just after a day when the Tripura’s DGP claimed that the situation in Tripura is completely under control, a dead body of a youth who is suspected to be murdered by unknown miscreants was recovered in a very ‘pathetic’ condition near the Sidhhi Ashram area in Agartala.
The police found the dead body on Sunday late evening after some locals informed them about the unidentified body.
The deceased person was identified as Manik Bhowmik resident of Agartala’s Badharghat area.
It is not yet clear if Bhowmik’s death was accidental or if he was murder but the police have suspected it to be a murder as he made injury marks on his head. The body of the deceased Manik Bhowmik has been sent for post mortem and further details will be found only after the reports.
Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter and a company of police force has been deployed in the area to make sure that no fresh violence is caused after the recovery of the dead body.
Although it is yet to be clear how the youth died, locals suspect it to be a murder relating to the recent political tension.
It may be mentioned that immediately after the election results were declared in Tripura, many riots and political clashes took place in the state resulting in loss of property and leaving sever people severely injured.
